Ah yes, the joys of developing for Windows. Short answer is that you can click on “more info” at the top, which will then show you the “run anyway” option at the bottom to run it.

Long answer: this has nothing to do with viruses or malware, as you said, virus scanners show it’s clean and you can test it on an old machine or laptop if you have one. Instead, it’s a “reputation” thing that Microsoft mandates that any new software no matter how clean it is will be blocked by default by that screen, and it can’t be removed unless you pay the yearly extended validation certificate fees.

As developers of a mostly free application, we currently can’t really do much about that, the only option we have is wait until more people click the “more info” and “run anyway” options until the reputation reaches default approval.

Linux and mac versions are planned, but unfortunately there is no release timeline at this moment.

Paths are done with the path node, not with tools. You can find more about how to use paths in the learn page.

There are a few ways:

– Use a white brush with dodge blending mode.

– Use a mask

– Use the clone tool to copy only the areas that you want from the brightened image.
